How can I stop Web Form Spammers – Guest book spammers?
Background of the problem:
I have a contact form in my web site using cgi script. It is in freeservers and the URL is, http://jyotisha.00it.com/Contact.htm.
Once a visiter fills and press the submit button I get an email.
Starting from recently, guestbook spammers who are after google page ranks, start filling it with absolute crap and links to their sites. So instead of genuine quaries, daily I get 30 to 40 such emails which is waste of my time and a nusence. I tried to put a control in cgi script but only succeded in posting a radio button. (You can try it here http://jyotisha.00it.com/Contact2.htm). I can not change the Page Name as I built the site manually over the time and there are about 100 pages whch mey need changing of page link.
My Question is: How can I write a control in CGI script ? so I can put a password check ?
